In the past games I've played, they NEVER start a fire IF they have the trait for cooking (forgot the exact name).
That trait purposely is designed so they never start a fire while cooking, and I used to like it for that (besides the better cooking quality).
This time I wanted to try different traits, so there came the fires.... :s
I first noticed it in my game yesterday. The stove turned off when she walked away. I had to test it today to see if it was a glitch with one Sim. I have three adults in the house and the stove turned off for all three of them when I had them walk away to do something else. They actively turned the stove back on to finish cooking when they returned to it.
Bummer, my Legacy Challenge family have had several bouts with kitchen fires. I have to admit it has been awhile since the last one, and I feared I was going to lose my half-alien Heir. For once, others came to help extinguish him. I had to wait a very long time before an alien abduction occurred in my game, too. But since it happened the first time, it's happened about four times, now.
But the ghosts are still too playful in my estimation. It's sad. Even though I lost my favorite Sim, back in Sims2, from being scared not once but twice in the same evening (succumbing the second time), I still miss the possibility of being 'scared to death' by a ghost. They ruined ghosts back in Sims3 and the legacy lives on, sorry to say.
I'm also miffed that we can't give 'human' Sims pointy ears. So far, no mods have been created to do so. I'm melancholy over it. Yesterday, I played Sims3 for 3-4 hours. I keep trying to play Sims4 to further my Legacy Challenge family, especially since I'm blogging about it, but so far, nothing much is happening of any worth. Certainly, nothing is sparking a plotline. Makes it hard to keep playing. It's been almost two weeks, since I've updated my blog, too. :'(
UPDATE: I was going through my Screenshots, hoping a picture would spark a plotline to blog about, when I came across my most recent kitchen fire. According to the date it occurred on April 23, 2016. And it was Marc, my half-alien who tried to toast himself whilst making a meal for his family. This is what happens, I suppose, when you get off a very long shift at the medical clinic and try to feed your family … :open_mouth: He is in disguise, since he just got off of work.
