I really miss this too. I remember in TS3 I had a sim working in the education career when a meteor crashed into the school and pandemonium ensued. It was horrible (in a good way), I think some child sims died, and forever in that save there was a giant meteor in the school.
This game is far too PC and is taking away many staples from past games. I don't see how they though eliminating random deaths completely was the best work around for this issue, because I know many players didn't like them, but many more loved them.
It seems like we have to sacrifice a lot with this game to appeal to younger audiences but it is a teen game, how about treating it like one?
