you can also make a vampire hunter if you want (i have one, named mina harker). just get a non-vampire to max level in vampire lore and they'll know how to create the vampire cure. (it takes 10 each of the three new plants from the vampire pack) and can use it when they get into a fight with a vampire
also just know that unless you use a mod, you will always have vampires in your game. it will create 4 new random vampires any time you have fewer than 4 of them
