When I put my mouse over the dormant trait it ask if anything can awaken it. That tells me it must be possible but I won't hold my breath on it. They have three children so that is three chances there. I will just wait and see.
I believe the dormant werewolf trait gets awakened by swimming in the moonwood mill lake on a full moon. I can't confirm this, but I remember reading it somewhere.
