Why are so many random sims shaped like a pear?

Is this still a problem? I've had a mod for normal body shapes since last year and I don't even know this problem is still there. Wish it wasn't. One less mod to use.

Hmm, never noticed this happening in my game - all my townies look fairly normal. Of course, the names are screwy, but meh.

Yep, majority of my townies are pear-shaped elders with an additional saggy chest on YA/Adult females. Other physical varieties for these age groups is very rare in my game. They're like the meteorites of the Sims world and I snap them up toot sweet for my custom template. I like having these gems in there because most come with NPC jobs. :)

Oh well, I mostly ignore or delete townies. Sometimes though I'll notice one walking by looking ridiculous and it reminds me of how I wish the Devs would tweak the townie generator code (again) to allow a wider variety of them.

@MakoSims...LOL, that's crazy. I gather you are using a mod that lets you adjust the ranges allowed...because that is NOT normal for any sim I've ever seen generated. MCCC lets you define ranges beyond the norm for randoms, as well as some other mods.

@Stormkeep I do have MCCC installed but I didn't mess with any of those settings. If it changes them by default then that probably is the issue.

I think he's actually Mortimer & Bella Goth's son that MCCC generated so... idk.

I haven't had this problem very much recently! There are even completely normal/attractive npcs being generated. Body shapes + faces. I'd say one out of every three generated townies in my game can pass for normal now. I think the clothing generator has been improved too, because most of my sims now age up with at least half of their outfits being acceptably fashionable. Bravo to the person/persons behind the changes. They're much appreciated. I had to pause and stare recently, when a John Stamos look-a-like appeared on a lot to bar tend! Only out of shock, of course ;)

I use the body presets by Zerbu, so I get a wide variety of body shapes.

It’s hard to tell the difference between him and that lamppost in the background.
