Why are toddlers at Daycare at 4 AM?

Huh, that's interesting. And why would it still be called 'daycare' if it's nighttime? Shouldn't it be called 'nightcare' or something like that? Back on topic though, I'm not sure what that is or if that's a bug or not.

In my head I imagined the daycare was closed, and the poor toddler sitting alone by the gate...

My biggest concern is that the game sends toddlers away even when a parent is at home. Can't we just decide to send the child to daycare if we want to? Hm... hoping it was a glitch.

My sim took her twin toddlers to the park, and the game sent them both to daycare while she was playing with them. :# I don't understand why daycare isn't optional.

I mean, don't 24/7 daycares exist in real life? (I know where I'm from that's a thing) Or at least daycares that take care of children at night because there are people who work at night and they gotta take their kids somewhere to be looked after ( ;

Anyway, (got a little sidetracked) have you tried going on another lot and then coming back? If that doesn't work then I don't know :'D

I've been experiencing something strange, as well. I go to a lot, the parents and siblings are all there, yet one of the two toddlers is grayed out, suggesting the one is at Daycare. :open_mouth: Why is the boy there when his younger sister isn't? I can see him on the front walkway, too. I just may well pull my folder and regenerate a new one. This is growing old.

Were the toddlers actually off lot, or were they home but the portraits still said "at daycare"? That's a long-time bug that was supposed to have been fixed in the most recent patch. Try waking up Mom and send her to another lot briefly; when she comes home that should reset the toddlers.

This happens everytime I enter a household with toddler(s). Regardless what the time is and even though parents or someone adult/teen is at home the toddlers are greyed out and I get message that they are at daycare. Except they are at home doing their toddler things. I've even found one down by the foodstalls (this was in the city). In my experience a few moments later, the grey disappears from their icon and I get a message that they are back...if that doesn't work, I find that sending one Sim (leaving toddler(s) at home) and then go home again. Then the toddlers will be right again.
