Okay but there is a lot of children's media that centers around kids using magic and being witches. There's nothing about magic in general that would make it not appropriate and they could easily limit the spells kids can use for specific spells that are. Kids had magic in the Sims 1 and it was cute as heck! They could summon cakes and imaginary friends and clean the house. This was definitely not the reason.
Also is anyone else annoyed they added the spell casting idle animation to CAS for kids but they can't do anything in game? Why bother making it?
