Sims 1 was not inherited - it was magic tricks - like magicians - not actually magic. It was learned - not birthright. But by all rights if there was real magic the brain would not really do magic before the individual had matured as the brain would still be developing and the most they would have as children is a tendency toward it until the brain fully developed and the body had fully developed all it needed for growth and maturety. Unusually not until 16 or older would the humanoid body even reach that maturity and why magic has always only been a teen and higher capability if there was such a thing - just based on how the body itself grows and matures. Biology supercedes myth - always has and always will. Harry Potter is very different than the science of maturity.
