Selvedorada has two neighbourhoods one contains the market and the other has the gateway to the jungle. The market is located in the walled area surrounding the cantina and if you have any lot loaded on that side of the river you should be able to access the market. You say your sims are at the museum so from you just need to send your sims in the direction of the cantina to find the market. You don't even need to load the cantina. Although I would recommend loading the cantina and start talking to some of the locals there to raise your sim's culture skill but keep your eye on the market tables because the market vendors don't always show up straight away. I would really recommend working on your sims' culture skill before heading to the jungle because they will pick up some knowledge about how to deal with some of the dangers of the jungle from the locals and if they have it maxed out (it has only 5 levels) they can buy things from the vendors they couldn't before.
When you are finished head back to the field station or the trailhead and you should have access to the first jungle gate.
