My gripe is, I have to remember each time my Sims throw some kind of event, to unlock the gate and any doors necessary to allow the hired help, plus the guests to gain access. Then, if i forget to lock things up again, my Sim has to worry about the Paparazzi and/or Obsessed Fans, let alone his Stan, lurking about the premises. It's a royal pain in the fundament. (Yes, that's the 18th century term for bottom, as in what you sit upon.) They have had friends stand outside of the locked front door, too. My Sims have even tried to 'call over' and they just stand there. Oof.
My sim couple had to wrangle three teenagers (don’t envy them) two of which had long term partners from school. Their middle child was the popular girl and had her two friends and her boyfriend come over to hang out often. The amount of times I’d be like, “why aren’t you showing up?” Only to find them standing idly outside in the pouring rain because I locked them out... it’s an embarrassingly high number...
It makes me even more angry because Santa Clause can waltz in like he owns the place when one of the family members gains a new level of fame, but the youngest’s partner who they’ve exchanged promise rings with has been standing outside in a blizzard for a half an hour. ?
That's my point, exactly. These guests are also 'invited'. Don't feel alone, I too, have forgotten to unlock the gate to allow the friends (that I gave permission to come home with my Sims after school), just moments before. Must be going senile … to borrow a line from Admiral James T. Kirk.
