Why did my sim just walk out of class?

I don't know why, but I just could not keep my sim in her seat or her classroom one day (test day). She kept getting up and leaving. No matter what I did she just would not listen. She ended up getting in trouble with the principal and getting detention. And that was only for the morning class, she attempted to repeat her action for the afternoon class as well.

Are her needs good? I noticed sometimes my sim will up and leave class to take care of a need if it's pretty low. Seen some NPC's do the same (and get in trouble as well for it if caught hahaha)

That kept happening to me too. But then I discovered if I wait until class starts (teacher) I can click on board and it says take exam and then she stayed in her seat and took the exam.
  • Apparently when you are well prepared you can finish your exam early which causes the sim to leave class, or at least to not be locked into it.
But no one told the principal so you still get detention.

For me, it usually happens because they have to react to some object because of their décor preferences.

Ugh. Why can't they react to the décor without having to stand up and stop whatever they're doing?

Also, you can walk out of class anytime, if the Principal does not catch you, you're clean !

My Sim had made it to class, was inside the door when the Principal read him the Riot Act! He got Detention!! He was all of two minutes late, too.

Hi! My sim did the very same thing. It was exam day, he finished his exam and politely left to go take a shower, which he did not need about 30 sim minutes before the end of the class. I held my breath but nothing happened...huh? I thought a kid was supposed to get detention for walking out of class. Nuts! :s
