Why do people think University is next ?

Pure wishful thinking. No hints or indications.

As mentioned above, it seems to be wishful thinking. It's seemingly the most highly demanded EP right now, so simmers are assuming that means it must be next. It's the same with witches - a lot of simmers want them, so they assumed that was going to be the last GP. Then Strangerville happened. Now it's started again. Personally I'm not particularly interested in University (and I would rather have werewolves). I'm just hoping for a nice surprise and that whatever packs we get, they'll be something in each of them that most simmers can enjoy.

Because the most vocal simmers have been demanding it for about a year now. I can't see university not being next at this point, especially when Grant is out here tweeting saying the fans are going to love the next EP. I couldn't imagine him saying that for a different EP knowing how much people have been demanding university.

The literal only other thing I could see the next EP being is a tropical vacation pack, only because it's rumored to come out in June. Otherwise, university seems to be the best bet.

Uni is more likely in November.

Well to be fair:

• Originally there seemed like an invisible but very vocal list of things from simmers: Generations, Pets, Seasons, University (literally in that order). And here we are now...again literally in that order :lol:
  
  
• University (In TS3 at least) is rather known to be the mid-late expansion anyway. Ironically enough it was also very vocal at the near end of the iteration stage as well. Even more so, it was introduced right after Seasons (to be fair GF threw the pattern off :lol: ).
  
  
• Students won march madness. Even though it was merely for fun, it really showed the simgurus that education was a highly desired part of gameplay.
  

Personally, I'm more interested in an education pack that gives/adds better/new schooling for all ages. But as many stated, it's simply wishful thinking. University is by far the most vocal of the previous packs as of now (due to its absence). I can imagine anything totally left would be a giant riot.

I think it's mainly because Sims 2 and 3 both had the University pack so many simmers are just holding onto that little bit of hope :D
Although, i do hope it is university lmao

I'd like a University EP or Pack or anything so I could finally do something with my Teens that completed their Runaway Teen Challenges. I've been putting these games on hold until the teens can work on something like The Positivity Challenge or the aspirations that came with Jungle Adventure or StrangerVille. And then they go back into retirement.

On the other hand, I don't know if being a teen would even matter at this point. In Sims 2 teens aged up to young adult when they went to University, but in Sims 4 young adult is a playable starting age group. So, to me, it seems like there might be some potential to have existing Young Adults attend university too. Maybe.
