Some mod that I use actually flips this problem on it's head. My sims are so determined to always eat at a table that they will cross the entire lot and go down (or up) several flights of stairs in order to get to a table. I can direct them to sit anywhere else that I want them to eat once they reach the table...but when I first queue the action for them to eat, they are going to go for a table...no matter how far away it is.
I actually get annoyed by this. I often want them to just sit at the chair that's right next to them when I tell them to eat. Sadly, I'm not even sure which mod I use that causes this. :lol: Fortunately they do at least pick the closest table, but even then...sometimes that's much farther away then I would like.
