I normally won't spend time on a pack's negative thread, and definitely not before the pack is released. What is the point of being negative o something before even seeing or trying it? How do those debating negative stuff know that what they react negatively to actually exists? I mean, if we see a feature in a trailer, what is the point in complaining about what we did not see as if it is not featured, and once the pack is released what we complained about might actually be included, and more...I think it's brilliant that positive and negative is gathered in those two threads, but I must say I often think the negatve should wait a bit closer to release.

Because as people get excited with trailers and the release of the blog post with descriptions, people also have concerns. So it’s good to have threads that separate the two so they don’t mix up.

Also the "Negatives" threads are actually very useful for the game team for both tuning and future content updates. Even if the issue is that you hated the trailer, it's good feedback to have for our marketing peoples.

Maybe it's like a law of physics, such that there has to be a negative thread to balance out the positive thread?Seriously though, when people get excited about something, there's always going to be a critical aspect to that. Having a discussion which deliberately encompasses the latter probably leads to less conflict overall.

Agree it's a good thing there pos and neg threads are separated.I guess my approach is slightly odd. In the past when buying older packs I normally checked out both poitive and negative threads, but quickly found that the first 25 pages (especially of the negative thread) was rather worthless to base my purchase on, as so much was critizised on expectations rather than facts. So maybe what I am looking for is good/bad threads that would help a customer of that pack a bit more. Guess a new neg thread started on releease date will never happen, though LOL :)

I've pre-ordered myself, and will be busy trying to find workarounds for those sorts of things, as it's more productive than merely complaining about them. To the extent it'd not frowned upon, I intend to share that.

not caring for a second that it is -40°c outside

also there will be beautiful Live Laugh Love motifs on all my croptops and written all over my shorts backside

because you can never Live Laugh Love enough

after i get back from my skiing trip i return home to appreciate my beautiful white ikea furniture that i suddenly love with passion

and twerk to absolute bass bangers on full volume

all while ofcourse being at least 90 years old because thats when the life begins

I depend on the negative thread to lower my expectations as I can get over excited. Also to remind me not to preorder as it will be a broken bug fest at launch as likely as not and to wait to see how broken it is before I buy. I been burned more than a few times yet get excited and preorder anyway if I don't tone down my excitement with the negativity thread. The negativity thread is needed.

I never considered this. It is a very good reason to have a negative thread.

I've been coming on the Sims forum since Sims 4 got released on console but I've only just decided to join this month. I like to read the positive and negative threads.It helps me decide if I'm going to buy the packs

A problem for the separate positive and negative threads is for me that when I compare the gameplay trailer for "growing together" with its luckluster features compared with the game trailer for "Seasons", I can't publish that comment in the positive thread, where I might find some interesting rebuttals but instead have to put in the negative thread where evryone agree with me.
