Why does everybody hate the idea of multiplayer in TS5?

In addition to what others said, resources are another issue. Time, effort and money are limited, and any spent on multiplayer will almost certainly take away from singleplayer. And if they use a server and decide to shut them down one day, we could potentially lose everything put into multiplayer.
