Why does everybody hate the idea of multiplayer in TS5?

I personally would not play a multiplayer Sims 5 for many reasons. Multiplayer/online games in general tend to have a lot of kinks. Like people have said before Sims is a complex game. There are tons of elements and getting everything translated to multiplayer compatibility would just not be worth it, especially considering how small the community FOR multiplayer seems to be. I enjoy being in complete control of my own stories. I have no interest in having a Sim "relationship" with someone that could literally be anyone, even a child. Plus the online community in multiplayer games can get hostile and take all the fun out of it. I'd hate to see this game turn toxic like other games that I've played that have online/multiplayer mode.
