That's sad to hear. I really had some hopes for City Living even if I was disappointed with the building of Apartments-lack there of. :(
There's no need to be sad because CL is not hated by many. I've heard players complain about certain aspects of City Living (for example, the lag in San Myshuno, the Asians spawning, etc), but this thread would be the first time I've heard of "so many people" hating it. Case in point: if you typed in "City Living hate" into the search box, only a handful of threads come up, and of those threads, only this one is the relevant match.
Well that's how internet searches go. You're going to find stuff in context of your search. This website isn't google. It's not going to show you related searches, partial matches or promoted content.
There's been quite a number of dissatisfied players with CL, and believe me Maxis did all they could to try and hide it, or brush it away. Totally unprofessional behavior was displayed a few months ago, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned a lot of people off of their game.
