Why does starting a new save force you into CAS?

Have the gurus ever justified why this limiting decision was implemented? It's inflexible and based on the assumption that everyone wants to create a new sim for their game. Starting a new save sho...

Because it's an offline online game. In an online game you need to make your character first to have something to go into the game with. Don't expect them to fess up because they won't.
