edit: Results so far are great (I have this set as a free time at 1pm (no main activity), 10am I have mandatory gardening to make sure everything gets watered). I increased the number to 3 but so far only had 2 populate (but maybe my Sims is the 3rd).
But as I am testing/building on a community lot to add/plant harvestable items I need to have Sim(s) plant first. And well the NPCs are planting and watering ASAP, and while nothing to plant/water, I saw one go catch a frog. So far pretty good :)
I haven't done anything yet with the getaway system. Is this a role/schedule you assigned to one of your sims? Is there a custom venue associated with it?

It is a custom venue (a WIP). So far I am setting up roles, I did a slight test, Assigned a Caretaker to keep up watering/tending garden as all the plant will be under a roof/inside since it is a biodome.
The I made a role and a light schedule, morning tend garden then free time in the afternoon.
And squeezed in a caretake role to see if people aren't around the place doesn't fall apart.
I believe the left blanks get filled on their own in live mode.

HollownessDevour, that looks interesting,
I set up a Mind/Body Retreat. I think the schedule was:
6am -- Meditate
9am -- Build Natural Living Skill
12pm - Do yoga
3pm -- Meditate
6pm -- Campfire
9pm -- Meditate
12am --Sleep
It took me a while to figure out how to assign roles and activities. For each time slot, you have to decide what each role will be doing unless you're using a preset getaway (and there are plenty of those).
My Sim only made $120 from hosting the getaway for 2 days. I guess the participants felt like they weren't getting enough to eat from foraging and roasting marshmallows at the campfire. 2 of the guests caught fire at the campfire, but my Sim managed to extinguish them. She picked up the Hobbyist trait afterwards, but I haven't looked at that yet. And she also got the Adventurous trait. Good fun!

A role I thought would be fun for my WIP Biodome, and as an homage to Sims 3 :D

Can you all be so kind as to post your custom venues and schedules on gallery? Would love to play with them.
- HollownessDevour2 months agoSeasoned AceThis one was fun as I chose traits exclusive to EbN and L&D and so far it mostly picked ghosts
Sadly no sim comes with Tarot Cards so you'd have to set up or gift them first, and Seance Tables won't work atm.
Despite the range chosen it picks Spellcasters (the occult selected) and EbN Apothecary Sims.Sims seem to bug out and stand at Apothecary Table, and only could get Spellcasters to use cauldrons to work.
But the Custom Venue at least had theme appropriate Sims on site.
So just hoping the items/objects/interactions get fixed soon, so the venue works XD

It's taken me three play-through tests to get this venue semi-okay lol. It is a Winter Retreat at Kiyomatsu Point in Mount Komorebi.
Building on left: guest bedrooms and bathrooms, bar, games room. Building at rear: Dining with chef station and fridge, staff bedrooms and bathroom. Building on right: Gym and rock climbing, guest bedrooms, kids playroom. Outdoors: kids play area, archery, skating rink, tables and benches with patio heater lamp.
Beds and Heating: The first time I had a play-through I realised I didn't have enough beds as I hadn't put any for the staff to use. Adult sims tend to arrive as singles rather than couples so double beds will only sleep one. In my final trial I had put in enough beds for 5 adults, 6 kids and 4 staff, hence the numbers chosen above. I also added the thermos, patio heaters and radiators after my first test as guests kept shivering, even indoors. This fixed the issue.
Roles: Although I have the chef set to serve meals, I haven't yet seen her do that (not through any of my three play-tests). The guests will cook for themselves, though they are only assigned 'eat', and I also had the bartender and the instructor cooking, though they are not meant to. Everyone was trying to access counter-tops, the fridge and the cooker at the same time. Breakfast and dinner times seemed utter chaos and I haven't yet found a way to not make it so. The cleaner spent most of the day doing other activities, though he was only assigned to clean, do household chores, fix objects and sleep. But, before I had a separate cleaner, dirty dishes ended up everywhere so it is at least a bit better now (though I have caught a lot of guests cleaning up themselves). The bartender behaved as they should and the instructor gave mentoring in fitness and archery.
Activities: 7am Breakfast: everyone, including staff (except the chef) is set to shower and eat. Nobody came to the dining room until I used the 'call getaway guests here' interaction (which also calls the staff). I didn't see anyone not controlled by me ever having a shower. 10 am Workout: adult guests went to work out/rock climb, kids played on the playground, the trainer mentored, the cleaner was meant to clean, the chef was meant to shower and eat (I didn't see them do that). 1pm Winter Activities: guests went outside to skate, the bartender was tending, the cleaner and the chef were doing random stuff. 4pm Dinner: repeat of breakfast chaos. 7pm Freetime: guests are set to mainly go to the bar area, drink, dance and play games and this is what they did. The bartender tended. I think the instructor was asleep. The chef and cleaner were just socialising (the cleaner was meant to be cleaning). 10pm Sleep: most sims (guests and staff) retired to their assigned beds. There were a few kids who seemed to stay up most of the night in the games room and only went to bed around 4/5 am.
I'm going to do another test I only just thought of: add a time-slot before breakfast for the chef to cook whilst everyone else is asleep and also have the chef cook in the afternoon time slot before dinner. I'll come back and update if that works better. Sorry for the long essay!

I am trying to create a hangout for my spellcasters. So far with mixed results. I have set a custom venue but traveled there as a regular visitor.
The visiting spellcasters spawned with the attire I wanted them to have. Occasionally some ghost spellcasters were choses, I wish we could exclude ghosts. Unfortunately none of them cast a single spell despite it being the main activity for their role and for the time slot. I suspect it is because these unplayed spellcasters don't know any spells. I will need to test some more.
Because this is a magical place the chores were done by enchanted knight armors. I started with the preset for staff but had problems with getting the uniforms to stick. I needed to duplicate the staff role and rename it to magical staff before the uniforms were applied when visiting the lot.
I added in sime werewolves just for the fun off it. They did some of the assigned activities like using the fire but I could not spot any of them using their werewolf powers.

10pm Bedtime
campers - sleep
councilor - sleep
director - sleep

I wish we had smaller time gaps, so that a person could throw in the toilet and shower time as well, if only we had two hour time slots instead of three 😊 We could also have a lunch or dinner time too. But all in all I am happy with my set up :) Just wish we had more control over outfits. If you use the option for everyday, sleepwear and so on then it goes to their personal outfits and not the ones I set, so its pretty frustrating that part.

My next kids campground I want to set up is a winter one, I hope it will work 😁
