I believe you are referring to narcissism. A typical good person wouldn't feel the need to go around and tell people about how morally upstanding they are.
I feel like they're more referring to self-righteous people, trust me those can be annoying with their nagging.

Narcissism is close, but self-righteous is definitely the word I am looking for. When a person acts self-righteous and 'holier than thou,' they are likely either misguided or faking it to enhance their own image. When I saw the 'Good' trait in the game, I was expecting it as being neither of the two.
