Why is Britechester so empty?

I've been watching a lot of Discover University gameplays and the EA livestream and I am wondering why the new world seem to be so empty of people/students? There's no one around the two university areas? Am I missing something?

I was really hoping for a real university feel with tons students and professors walking to/from the buildings between the classes, like in real life.

I do have mc command but have never tried to adjust the number of sims in zone, thank for reminding me of that function :)

Hopefully that will work with Britechester, I think the mod needs to be updated with the new lot types for that setting to work.

The game has a cap for performance reasons, so it can still run on potato powered laptops. As mentioned above MCCC can "fix" this. ;)

ive moved my sim into drake hall and no roommates seem to be spawning?
