- Did you actually have to pay that or was it deducted from your money? It looks to me that you're getting a refund of $116. I haven't played EL yet, so I'm not sure.
Oh wait... are you using generators? I saw a screenshot about that somewhere... let me look for it. - GroovyLady19686 years agoSeasoned AceI think they are giving you $7 for power. I already made $32 from gathering water and sell it. IDK I really don't understand it all yet.
- LaBlue03146 years agoSeasoned AceI don't have ECO, no generators yet. I set the home up before as off the grid before my sim moved in. All lighting is candles, and everything else works off the grid. It was originally an empty lot in Willowcreek. I'm hoping that after I can add ECO it will sort this out. :)
The part that has me a bit confused is the negative 7 semolians in red, that part keeps going up. - Do you have an object on your lot that potentially relies on power?
Haven’t played my game yet so not sure how it all works. - JanuaryGarnet086 years agoSeasoned Ace

This is a brand new game save, no Mod/CC, and the cache file was deleted.
You aren’t being charged.- You have a $300.00 credit on your lot taxes, your tax bill is being decreased by $300.00.
- Same on your power, it’s a credit you are getting a $7.00 bill reduction.
- You owe 0 for water and are being charged $191.00 in other taxes, which is entirely offset by your $307.00 credit.
- So the $116.00 is also a credit
l don’t know yet if the game will add that back to you household funds or simply reduce your next bills even further by that amount. On the right with Auto Sell selected you sold 13 units of power back to the grid at $3.99/unit and you have 49 units of water to either sell or use, since you don’t have Auto Sell selected there.
Did that help? - You have a $300.00 credit on your lot taxes, your tax bill is being decreased by $300.00.
- fruitsbasket1006 years agoSeasoned AceWhile i'm glad that we can now see a breakdown of our bills, this particular system seems a bit complicated.
- JanuaryGarnet086 years agoSeasoned AceThe easy way to remember is anything with a minus/subtraction sign (-) in red on the left, is a credit/discount to you. Anything with a plus/addition (+) sign in green on that side is a debit, or in other words an amount you owe. The same applies to the rate of change on the left, red is money back to you, green is money you owe.
- Willowana6 years agoSeasoned AceI don't think it's complicated at all. I love the new system. Like balancing a checkbook or looking at debits and credits on a bank account online it's really similar. Red is bad, green means good.
- alanmichael16 years agoSeasoned AcePerhaps the off-the-grid power bill is caused by the cell phone?

Can't use cell phones on off the grid lots.
