Why is my sim's skin glowing, but only in certain rooms?

You can see by this picture that the room is not that bright and the white table doesn't glow, but my sims' skin is glowing and messing up my screenshots. This does not occur in every room on this lot, only certain ones. Also, I have the same type of lights in different rooms, and in some of the rooms, the skin appears normal. What's going on??

Reminds me of The Sims 3 bloom *shivers*
Anyway, do you have any mods installed? Have you tried without them if you do?

I noticed they get shiny like this if you have them stand directly under one of those square debug lights. If you’re not using one of those lights then idk.

Thank you! That's exactly what's happening in my game. I'll change the lights. ?

I've had this happen on some lots I've downloaded from the gallery. It's like they used a ton of those debug lights, but I could never find them in b/b to delete them. I usually have to just scrap the lot and download a new lot. I usually make it a point, after that, to not use that players builds anymore.
  • Thanks for your responses. In answer to your questions...

I do have cc and haven't tried it yet without the cc. (Will let you know once I try it.)
I'm not using the debug lights.
I built this myself and didn't get it from the gallery.
  • After removing CC temporarily, if you haven't yet tried turning the lights off in that room, you might. If it stops, something is happening with lighting in that particular room. Maybe delete all lights and start over, checking after each one?

If it doesn't stop when turning lights off, it may be the windows, or an archway in just that room. Archways in particular have rather odd lighting effects. I'd do the same process with them.
  • Hello I have recently had this same issue and I resolved it myself by selecting one light in the house and then pressing set colour and intensity after then press all lights then you can use the dimmer to change the lighting in the rooms I turned mine all the way down this resulted in fixing the problem .
