Why is there two forums, this one and EA Forums?

Why is there two official forums relating to The Sims? There's this forum on Answers HQ and forums.ea.com. What's the difference between them both? Thanks.

@ShadowBramble Previously, Answers HQ was only for problems with games: technical troubleshooting, how to accomplish something specific, etc. Most game franchises had separate discussion forums. Those forums have been closing over the past few years, and the new EA forums are supposed to be the location for all game-related discussions for all games.

The EA forums are still something of a beta or limited release: they only support a few games, and feedback is still being solicited. So I would guess that while Answers HQ may be folded into the new forums eventually, that probably won't happen until all games are supported and some of the larger issues have been addressed. Certainly no one wants to close AHQ while the new forums don't have a place for most game franchises.
