I feel you with the Q thing. I had trouble just yesterday trying to get my sim to make omelets. Everything had been going well up to that point, then I noticed her just standing there. ??? The icon for her to be doing something was gone. So I clicked on the bowl for her to resume. She mixed a little then quit. Resume. Quit. RESUME! QUIT! Fine. I scrapped the omelets had her make something else and she was okay with that. I have also noticed that I have q'd her up to do a few things and a few would disappear so she could get to the one I guess she wanted to do. I admit I like autonomy, but this is just willful disobedience. Kinda like... me.
