I have had maybe ten or twelve fires in the past. Up until Island Living was released I rarely had kitchen fires or fires when my Sims cooked on their grills. One of the features in Island Living is the friendly Islanders will come to extinguish any fires that happen on your lots. In order to trigger this new feature, the chance of having a fire was given a little boost so fires now happen more frequently. And it has become an annoyance rather than an entertaining new feature.
Ahhhh! That makes sense. This really was unusual in frequency and it just started today. Yes, it was annoying by the third time. We needed some friendly islanders to come help in Willow Creek.
