@AyKooChao, Hope springs eternal, right? lol I didn't know the winterfest trees caught fire too! BBQ's, incense and Winterfest trees too! *insert phobia +2 moodlet.

@Dianesims, I knew about the dryers catching fire a lot so I don't play with them. :) My stuff goes through fits of breaking a lot as well, I guess the spate of fires is like that too. I hope.
@Hestia, Ok, there's got to be a hidden Schleprock Trait in game, some households have more troubles than others. lol!

@Katrinasforest, The cursed traitn, I haven't tried that one yet...or maybe it can also be a hidden house trait? lol. It may come to eliminating all the cooking appliances if they can't cook safely. No more cooking for you guys, go out to eat.
@Hermitgirl, I haven't had a fire happen while visiting other sims yet. Yep, I learned to do all the things you've suggested to head off the cooking disasters, there's something about this household or an overall game tweak perhaps. I haven't minded the fire frequency at all up until the last two days. It's weird and kind of a joke now to see if they'll ever be able to cook without setting the house on fire.
