Will changing season length affect days until next birthday?

I'm about to change my settings from season=14 simdays to seasons=28 simdays. I heard there used to be problems with the longest time span, but I never saw elders die unexpectedly or sims urging to gr...

I think the birthdays are only determined by short/normal/long lifespan, not seasons. The number of days left should not change with the changing of the seasons. I have never actually tested it, though. My seasons have been on 14 days for at least two real life years.
