Will my child Sim miss out on careers if he flunks high school?

I'm very aware that if High school Years was installed, Teenagers dropping out of high school would make some careers unavailable for them later in life. I'm also aware that children get taken away with an F in school. Will getting my teenager to a D grade forbid him from getting a job if I DON'T own High School Years?

Thanks for helping!

No, the career limitations will only come with High School Years.

Though it will reduce your sim's chances of getting into distinguished degrees.

I don't know the other effects. I know that aging up with B lets you begin a career at level 2 and aging up with A lets you begin at level 3. I guess it's something to look into...
  • Thanks! I'm also aware about the Sim getting a good grade starts him up later in his career. Will there be any disadvantages for a teenager to hit an F grade with only the Base Game installed? Without the University EP?

Yeah, I think a drop out can get a high school diploma later on the computer if you want them to ( I guess like adults who didn’t graduate can go to adult school ( at least this can happen in the United States ), and get a GED.
