Will oceans be swimable in the vacation GP?

I sure hope so. It would be really crazy if they won't be.

I agree with @jackjack_k Strong evidence would be finding code like we did for Vampires and Pets.

To answer your question on swimmable bodies of water, I think they said old worlds wouldn't be able to do it, which is why I was hoping they would put off on giving us any beach worlds until then, but we got Bridleton bay.

Imagine the uproar if they gave us a tropical vacation world with no swimming... A tropical vacation without a working beach would be as bad as getting retail where you buy clothing off a mannequin instead of a clothing rack and Sims running around with a tablet instead of working a cash register but I would not put it past them they do love shortcuts.

What about the concept art that got leaked before City Living came out and was quickly removed? It showed a beach and ocean and also some nautical themed items like seashells and an outdoor shower that looked different from the one in Outdoor Retreat.

Very true, but we also got concept art for a European world before The Sims 4 came out, and we got it 18 months later.

I'm sure it's coming, but we don't know the extent or when.

the OP says one has been confirmed, which is different to being sure it's coming.

It is possible that they coded Brindleton Bay so they can come back to it. Unlike other worlds, the water in BB is actually deep enough to support Swimming, while previously the water was only knee height at best.

I hope so. I'd be annoyed if ocean swimming was restricted to one world. We have plenty of bodies of water in the game (even in Granite Falls) so it would be immersion-breaking for me.

I mean, I have no experience in game development, but if they already have the programming for ocean/lake swimming, how hard would it be to retroactively apply it to previous worlds? If the water's too shallow, the world people can adjust it to make it swimmable and make sure the swimming programming can be copied over

I didn't say it was confirmed lol I said there's evidences, however if you read my last comment I said the next quarter is really close and there's no other codes in the game hinting at something else or new patched objects that hints at a different pack, they usually pass few hints before approaching close to the new quarter..
So you think EA won't release anything next quarter that begins in January? Is that good to business
And btw the main thing I wanted to discuss here is swimable water bodies not what the next GP lol so can we please focus on this
