The problem is some of us actually use ALL of our lots. So I cannot just avoid it because I will use every single lot there is because I am a rotational player and have a HUGE amount of sims to rotate through. I don't care about it being removed or nerfed. I won't call for that because I can see it as a great thing to have in the game for other people, but I do think it needs to be unlocked and removable. I don't think telling people just to avoid it is a solution either.
I read somewhere (Twitter, I'm supposing) that it's all connected with the spawn points. That they couldn't make them readily available for every apartment because of it so they locked them for certain ones. Unfortunately, I only saw the conversation, but didn't take note who said it. @Cinderellimouse might be able to help me out. (Either that or she can tell me I imagined it)
I saw someone mention that the effects of the locked traits are actually spawned by the objects such as the electrical box and the mouse holes. I haven't looked into this myself yet though. Is it possible to enable testingcheats and somehow delete the objects?
I tried and failed. I even went so far as trying the build/buy cheat from Sims 3. :/
