Will the rats, roaches, and leaking pipes ever stop? (Resolved w/Mod! Updated Orig Post.)

The reason I'm asking is because I didn't realize they were there until after I totally remodeled that fixer upper "the TLC" apartment. I like what I did and I don't want to move. I spent all day remo...

OMG, my sims moved into the fashion district and last night it started with the rat running across the floor, then came the roaches, then the leaky pipe, then the loud woohoo-ing neighbor, and finally the smell that I thought was just the rug; but when I went to change out the rug I found a chalk outline of a sim underneath, LOL!!
