Will the rats, roaches, and leaking pipes ever stop? (Resolved w/Mod! Updated Orig Post.)

I love the size and layout of the TLC apartment but the mice made me shiver. I had to move my sim out when the landlady came to fix the fuse box and still no electric. that and the mice was just too much. I'm waiting for someone to come up with a mod to remove the trait. I want to use the flat not ignore it.
