Will The Sims team finally free the babies in 2020?

Given how they are STILL obssessed with this YA millennial only focused tier of content fetish, I highly doubt that.
They also seem far too keen on making "new" content rather than giving things we are STILL missing out from even Sims 2.

You must be kidding. In real life, babies do a lot more than that. They aren't objects who just eat, cry, poop and sleep. They are full human beings and need to bee cared for in a lot more ways than just taking care of the basic needs you mentioned.

Anything more than that? Babies can crawl, lift themselves up on the floor, and interact with people around them. They swat at things dangling above their head. They smile, coo, and babble. They do a lot more than stay in a basinet for their whole baby hood in the same dark room. They learn to walk around furniture and eat solid food. They can clap their hands in delight. These are all things babies do in their first year of life before they're a toddler.

If they free the babies, it'd be cool if they were a little older than newborns, like how toddlers are slightly older in 4 than they were in 2 & 3. They could probably add a version of the toddler skills to babies so they can do more as they get older. Start off by rolling around and max skill at crawling, pulling up on furniture, that kind of thing. But even if they end up being newborns but not attached to the bassinet, it'd be a huge improvement over what we have now.

I wish we could take babies to community lots, in strollers or even slings. Babies need fresh air, sun and vitamin D ?

I love our current adorable babies, but it would be really fun if they were more active. I’d love to play Easter egg baby hunt with them. :smiley:

Also, I really miss group activities for families and in general.

I am happy we get new activities with the upcoming packs (candle making, upcycling, juice making, knitting), but I really miss my Sims playing something TOGETHER. :( I wish our sims could bake and cook together as family and friends. And I wish there were board games for up to 8 sims, that your sim can have in a chest or in their inventory and put them on a regular table. Would also be cool if the children could play classic children games like hide and seek or tag. And why can only 2 sims build a sandcastle and snowman? Why can only 2 Sims play with the dollhouse? Why can only 2 Sims play with the soccer ball? Why can't Sims play in the pool together with the floaties or marco polo like in TS3?

This is so sad. I really miss group activities. I miss bands. I miss group sports.

Crawl (which toddlers don’t do), ride in strollers, held while walking around the house (toddlers can do), able to place them on beds, use changing tables....?‍♀️

Edited to add: give them real clothes and more defined features.

As most of the knitting grannies do is knitting layettes for babies I hope they will free them enough to show their outfits off!

You bet they do! Especially to avoid getting infant jaundice (I think that's how you say it in english).
