- Cars (gas powered ones) cause damage to the environment so this woke dev team wont include them. Course they can’t think past their own nose to know bikes could be a simple inclusion and even scooters.
- simskeleton6 years agoSeasoned AceHow come it was okay in Sims 2 and Sims 3 and now all of a sudden it's not considered. There is no real gas in the sims 4 since it's just a game. They have the cars that drive by as a visual, I don't see why they can't include drivable cars for playable sims.
- I feel like all the "car" related wall art in Strangerville could have been a big hint towards cars.
- I think the reason why drivable cars aren't practical is the lack of open world. You have to go through a loading screen just to visit your neighbor. Cars are pretty much useless because of that. I also think it is a shame they aren't a feature, but I don't see how they can be added to the game as it is.

There were cars in the Sims 2 though, and those were the best cars the Sims series had. - LadyKyn6 years agoSeasoned AceFor this installment of S4 I jsut don't see them being implemented correctly considering there's a majority of lots that don't even have a road next to their home, which I don't see working. I like how they were in S2 (considerng there were animations of sims getting in and out of the car and sims sitting in the car with the music on as well). But this iteration?
I don't expect to see them compared to smaller modes of transport sims can just ride around on in one area. - Lonewolf10446 years agoSeasoned AceI do not see this happening looking at how Sims 4 was developed especially at this stage of the game. :(

I agree however driving in the open world in Sims 3 was the next step and an viable one for me. I wouldn't however mind having Sims 2 way of using cars looking at how Sims 4 was developed with loading screens. - simmyfroggy6 years agoSeasoned AceI think the issue with cars in TS4 can be summed up as “where we’re going, we don’t need roads”. DeLorean, anyone? ;)
As others pointed out, there are too many areas in the worlds that don’t have roads or access for driveways or space for parking. - Sharooonia6 years agoSeasoned AceWhere are you going to drive to? The loading screen. Apart from them being objects in a driveway I can't see much point.
