- I hope we at least get bikes

Is the real reason why they won't have open worlds in Sims 4 got to due with the fact that Sims 3 kept freezing up & that they still don't have the proper programming for Sims 4.
I recently just reinstalled Origin (after two years of it being removed) and my games were also uninstalled. (reinstalled them) Fresh game, no saves, no cc etc. The game froze the second time I took my Sim to one of my restaurants. They just sat there, still breathing but not moving. I don't have all the EPs and GPs, stopped at Parenthood. Only way to get out of that freeze was to hit M for map and have my Sim go back home. TS3 gets a lot of flack around here, but TS4 isn't any better with performance, either.- I miss watching my sim parents teach their teens to drive (TS3). Couldn't that be just around the neighbourhood?
Cars in TS2 were just taking you down rabbit holes or to loading screens. It was fun to be able to work on them though.
Yeah, now I think about it it would be nice to have cars back. I wouldn't say I would get depressed should they never come back. It would be nice. - dianed4856 years agoSeasoned AceThen why did they add boats ? They pollute the oceans a lot.....I don’t think it’s their reason.

Cars (gas powered ones) cause damage to the environment so this woke dev team wont include them. Course they can’t think past their own nose to know bikes could be a simple inclusion and even scooters.
This is a game not real life. I hope that isn't the reason cars haven't been added. - dianed4856 years agoSeasoned AceI noticed it seems all houses in Glimmerbrook have driveways. Why would they do that if they didn’ t at least consider the possibility of adding cars ?

I don't have ROM. That's interesting to hear. Does make you think since none of the others have them. - simskeleton6 years agoSeasoned AceSorry to post in this thread, since it hasn't had any recent replies. It is my post, though.
I just wanted to point out how the new patch update came with a transportation section in buy/build mode! This gives me new hope for cars in the future! - I think they will add cars, just because it is a major thing that is still missing that many in the community are interested in. We have now gotten a lot of the things that were originally missing in the base game- ghosts, family trees, toddlers, and pools to name a few. Yes we still don’t have open words or CAS, but those are things I think they’ve explicitly said they can’t do. Personally I want cars if only because houses look weird without proper garages and for storytelling purposes. I want my sims to be able to fix up cars and drive fancy cars if they’re rich and cheap cars if they are poor.
- Would it even work? I know TS2 had cars, but how did they work exactly? A lot of the lots in TS4 don't have roads, so wouldn't they look a bit out of place?

I mentioned this before; they can go for a ''hybrid'' system between the Sims 2 and the Sims 3 cars.
Sims 2: Have animations to get in/out of the car, listen to music in the car, woohoo in the car etc.
Sims 3: Teleport onto the (nearest) road and drive away.
Neighborhoods without proper roads they can also just teleport away into the loadingscreen.
This is honestly the only thing I can see cars being happening in The Sims 4 (unfortunately).
