I'm trying to understand the point of preordering... I've been a simmer for over a decade, but recently got into the Sims 4. If I preorder, will I get to play the game earlier? What time will it be released?
Probably not. Since I don't have to worry about the game arriving in time (I usually get the digital version instead of the physical copy since we have to still put the code into origin either way) and all that nor does it come with a bonus if pre-ordered; I will just probably get it day of and still have plenty of time to play it.
The only thing I can think as to why to pre-order of is either it would be on sale maybe or getting it before it is out of stock. I am guessing it will be released around midnight, right when it is officially June 22nd; but I am not sure. Either way, you won't get the game any earlier I don't think. Everyone will get to play it that day.
I will get it on release day but I am not preordering since they removed the disc and bonus preorder content there no point in it. Also gives me the chance to see if it goes on sale anywhere like Target always does at release.
I pre-ordered because it gets released around the time my household bills are due so I thought it was better to buy it when I had a bit of breathing space in between last month's bills and this month's. :p
I will be pre-ordering but that's only because I have an amazon voucher and amazon only have physical copies for sale, need to pre-order for it to arrive on the day. I do sometimes pre-order on the day though, just so I can go through paying and entering the code earlier, then once it releases I can download straight away.
