Winning a Professional Computer Games Tournament?

My sim has mastered gaming skill. But when I enter the professional tournament. My sim comes in either 3rd or 2nd place. What do I need to do. In order for my sim to successfully come in 1st place...

Each video game your Sims play has a hidden skill tied to how many game minutes that Sim has played overall. To max game skill for each video game played, the Sim has to have played a total of 1,000 game minutes, or roughly 16.5 game hours. This info is in the Sims wiki.
