Aww, I'm sorry to read you lost your sim's husband, OP. :( It can be very heartbreaking to lose a sim unexpectedly. Thankfully, though, you can disable how temperature affects sims, or even get them those nifty trait bonuses with satisfaction points. The ones that make sims immune to hot and cold effects.
As for me, I'm going to make my sims 1 summer athletic outfit and 1 winter athletic outfit and let randomization decide their fate. MUAHAHAHA Whichever outfit the AI picks when they start jogging, will determine their fate. >:) >:) >:)
