I just saved one sim from Grim after she collapsed from freezing. She was on the street in front of my sim's house and my sim convinced her to group up. It would take too long to walk back to my sim's house, so I had them go to the gym. The sim made it to the steps before freezing. While pleading for that sim's life one of the bystanders froze. Grim hasn't gotten to him yet so I don't know if I'll be able to save him. But wait, there's more...there's another bystander who's looking quite blue and will probably collapse before I can convince him to go inside the gym. There are two other guys in tank tops and shorts who are probably doomed since they're going to be determined to stand out in the snow and watch each other die from freezing. I guess I'll have my sim befriend and date the last one standing.
I hope this gets fixed soon. I've already witnessed Don Lothario, Nancy Landgraab, Brant Hecking and Bella Goth's death. I'm not liking that sims go jogging in tank tops, t-shirts and shorts in the middle of winter. :/
Okay 4 days in the winter in willow creek gym and I'm giving up hanging around there. No deaths. It was freezing one of the days the rest were cold. They change to winter wear when they leave. I saw a blue sim on the freezing temp day.. Nancy Landgrab.. she kept going and didn't die on the lot. I can see the death domino effect being a problem for sure but otherwise I'm not worried. I haven't tried manipulating a death.. as in controlling other sims, grouping them up or spamming interactions with them if they aren't appropriately dressed .. but I wouldn't consider that a problem if it happens due to that, because I'm manipulating it. If I have a death like some are reporting I'll post it here. I have no mods or cc.

Ouch I also witnessed Don's Death, as well as Nancy's... I could save Brant Hecking though! By adding him to a group and bringing him quickly into the house of my played Sim! Marcus Flex also died in my save :(
How about game opting out the "go jogging" in Winter? Most of my sims wouldn't really mind, besides we would avoid seeing blue npc's jogging around the hood. My only sim who might miss winter jogging, can go visit the gym instead. Where I live most people do that in Winter, and when Spring arrives the streets are full of joggers again :)

If you have that 'pack, and your sim lives long enough to attend the festival and bag up a couple take-home meals, you could see if the fiery peppers heat the sim up enough to survive the freezing cold for a minute...?
Ill give that a try next time I play, most likely late tonight or tomorrow. Just so I don’t clutter up this thread so much I’ll probably just post it on my profile.
It just dawned on me and sorry if someone else mentioned this but if worse comes to worst you could always have your Sim ask a sim to see their appropriate weather clothes. If you're close enough that is.

Once it begins everyone is too distracted with mourning the dead to do anything else. You can't really talk to them or call them inside because crying cancels out other actions.

Maybe a solution could be instead of having hot weather and cold weather outfits be separate categories, they can be subcategories within each category. That way your nonactive and active sims can dress up for the weather autonomously regardless of what category.
For example
Everyday - Hot Weather - Cold Weather
Athletic - Hot Weather - Cold Weather
As I mentioned in my previous post (look in spoiler above), if it is possible, they should try to make all the categories act like the hot/cold categories, allowing us to assign hot/cold outfits for each category to avoid this issue. It could also help with events, for example, I wouldn't want an outdoor formal wedding and everyone comes dressed in giant jackets, beanies, and boots ESPECIALLY the newlyweds (haven't tried it yet but I already feel like this might be an annoyance in my game eventually LOL). I could already assign a formal outfit that the sim can change into that would be more appropriate for the weather and the event at the same time. In this case, if a sim was jogging, they'd switch into their cold weather activewear versus their neutral/hot weather activewear. Just an idea. :)
This picture made me laugh LOL It's a ridiculous amount of sims dying one after another that you kind of have to laugh  But This really is a terrible glitch. I would be unbelievably upset if my sims died, especially since sims won't be remembered .5 seconds after their death since I'm past the recommended sim limit. They just get deleted off immediately, so sims can't mourn or even remember their friend/family member. I still can't believe this is happening to a lot of simmers. I think it has to do with a mod. My game is vanilla as I have no mods/CC, and I do use the cheats but that hasn't affected my game. I haven't seen this happen in my game, unless I am unaware of it. Never has happened in the active lot, for sure. Although, I did notice a sim making snow angels in the middle of a blizzard, but he went home once he finished and he didn't turn blue or anything. There were no sims walking around during thunderstorms or blizzards in my game, except that one sim. Sims jog even though it is cold outside and once again, nothing happens. If they feel uncomfortable, they just go straight home.

I have no mods or cc in my game. I also had removed the Ea/sims 4 folder before installing Seasons. I created only one household of 4 sims. I have as vanilla/clean game as you can get.
