Neither of them were ace.

So is this sex without kissing a millenial thing? Kissing has always been part of sex in the midwest, even in the "free love" days of the hippies. Do millenials have sex without kissing?

How can people think that kissing can lead to romance, but sex doesn't?

People kiss their parents and children. Kisses are used as greetings in some cultures. Sims do it in Windenburg. The "kiss on the hand" was traditional for men to do to ladies when meeting them for the first time (but in sims it's a romance interaction.)

On the other hand, when a guy wants sex with a girl, she expects it to lead to romance and gets depressed when he never calls her back. She doesn't feel that way if he kisses her and doesn't call her back.

to me it would make perfect sense if sims could do some of the more bodily socials with their woohoo partner such as passionate kissing but yeah idk how that would work as game thing

I'm curious if a sim would get jealous if they caught their spouse in bed with a woohoo partner?

They get jealous over romantic socials, but woohoo partners are not romantic, right?

Woohoo partners are basically "friendships with benefits". Many adults who are a part of the hookup culture do not kiss because it can often have a romantic connotation or at least become a concern that the hookup could lead to more than just sex, especially among those who aren't looking for anything serious in a society where kissing is more often than not thought of as romantic. Not everyone thinks that way, but that is what I have noticed from reading and talking to other adults about it. EA probably wanted to simulate something similar, hence the feature's execution. Making out is actually common between friends with benefits, so I'm surprised that wasn't included. I can understand a tender kiss on the cheek, but making out could've at least been added.

Nevertheless, the new woohoo partners feature seems like an adult thing to add, so I'm not surprised some Simmers are confused. Despite the T rating, The Sims 4 has been heavily marketed to a younger audience compared to the original game from 2000 that was more adult in humor and tone, so while I personally welcome it, I can totally understand the mixed reaction. I mean, woohoo in TS1 (play in bed) had the Sims remove their clothes before performing the interaction, and TS2 had the goose interaction, so the franchise has definitely gotten more "youthful" so to speak.

That makes me wonder. Why do partners get offended when you ask them to woohoo now? I guess its what it seems like, "woohoo partners" arent supposed to be romantic
