Custom worlds would be fantastic. But I'm afraid it's not going to happen.
But perhaps a world pack could ease the pain. Just 2 or 3 extra worlds in one pack, no other features, just worlds. I would like to have another 'black slate' kind of world like newcrest but perhaps with a desert setting.
What personally bothers me the most is not the loading screens or 2D maps but the fact that we can't load a complete neighbourhood with all the lots in that neighbourhood accessible.
