Get Famous does not apeal to me anymore. It's been a long time since any of my sims were in the spotligt and I avoid all events connected to it.
It gets my vote for worst pack.
There's plenty to chew on in Get Together, in my opinion and it is my favourite pack.

- Get Together is easily my least favourite, it just feels like a pack of rejects to me.
I like to call it the "City Living Rejects", everything in the pack could've easily been included with another pack, mainly city living.
The dancing, clubs, walk in closet, CAS and city area should've all been in City Living
The pool stuff should've been in Jungle Adventure it makes zero sense in Get Together
The island area should've been with Cats & Dogs since that pack already has a similar island area
The world is one of the better worlds though I'll give them that but the gloomy Tudor vibe doesn't interest me at all so I never use it, ever, and the weird boxed in houses in the middle of the town are ugly, hate them.
Overall the clubs feel gimmicky and really aren't enough to base an entire pack around, as I said; City Living reject. Clubs aren't just there, you have to make a conscious effort to use them or absolutely nothing club related will happen, gatherings don't happen unless I chose for them to happen and even when they do they're boring and pointless. I just don't like it in general, the only thing I ever use from get together is the pool stuff.
A lot of people are saying island living, but I think island living is a pretty strong pack it just needs a lot of tweaking to make it feel complete since it feels half finished at the moment, they've said they may improve old packs so hopefully they'll complete island living when they do that - alan6505 years agoSeasoned AceIf Island Living had an in-depth diving skill that unlocked a variety of diving lots where you actually got to see underwater it would be MUCH better! They also should have fleshed out mermaids with their own skill tree. The addition of these 2 things would have made it expansion-worthy. They could have also thrown in a Sulani Culture skill for good measure that had like 5 levels. There could have been a couple new dance moves much like how Jungle Adventure has the special dances. Jungle Adventure is better for gameplay and it's a game pack!
- SEREFRAS5 years agoLegendCity Living introduced the weird random tourist outfits (fashion police).
Also, it should have been more like Bridgeport. - I don't think I used any feature from Get to Work after the first day I bought it
- Probably Get Together, just cause I don't really use the clubs, but it's the first one I got I think lol
- Elystia5 years agoRising AdventurerIsland Living pales in comparison to Island Paradise from 3. It's so boring, but the beach houses are miles better than the glitchy houseboats from IP.

Exactly. I have revisited it ONCE when I played a mad scientist character and wanted the raygun. Other than that I have not used any part of the gameplay in that pack since I got bored with the jobs after 2-3 days after purchase. It is by far the worst implemented expansion pack (and Aliens is by far the most boring supernatural lifestate), and the one that would benefit the most of a do-over; especially with University and Strangerville. To not involve the aliens OR the scientist career from GTW in Strangerville is a HUGE mistake and letdown. - Since I've been stuck at home for a while now, I finally sent some of my YA sims to University, and I can say without reservation that it is THE WORST expansion pack of all (the only one I don't own is Magic.)
First of all, so much is wrong right out of the gate. I got more Last Exception errors in the time my sims were in school than in my entire history of playing the game. Even though Seasons has been out forever since this pack, none of the buildings had thermometers, so sims were always freezing, and sims never changed their clothes when they went outdoors in the cold. Whims couldn't be fulfilled consistently, ESPECIALLY if I locked them.
I started with two sims, then added another to the same house. The third sim graduated before the other two. One of the first two somehow needed to take another class, even though he had signed up for and passed all the classes he should have needed. The other failed one of her classes even though she'd done all the work. I signed each of them up for one of the three organizations. IF I could remember to check the meetings regularly (why can't they sign up in advance? Why no reminders? Why can't it go on the calendar? Oh, wait - almost nothing from Seasons was integrated into this pack!) and get them to go, not only would they be in different places from where my sim had been sent, but sometimes none of the planned activities even happened. PLUS, just as with regular whims, I couldn't get the achievements ticked off no matter how I tried. PLUS PLUS, these activities were boring as anything. If I tried to liven things up, the way the actions were queued, my proposed action would age out before my sim got a chance to do it, over and over and over.
During regular home life, I constantly had to teleport sims out from behind furniture. I couldn't delete the problem furniture, either, like the coffee table that prevented sims from sitting on the sofa to watch TV. Random sims would show up, and my sims would not have the options "ask to leave" or "goodbye," and often had to sleep on chairs (couldn't get to the sofa, remember?) because the visitors would sit on their beds for hours at a time.
Towards the end, I mostly put the game on high speed and waited for it to be over so I could get out of there. I MIGHT send someone back to see if, say, the robotics major is less boring, or if Foxbury is less painfully dull than Britechester, but if it's still just as bad, that sim might just drop out and move back in with mom and dad.
