Would you accept no packs/kits/etc... if?

Would you as a community give up new content for an extended period of time if EA/Sims actually buckled down and shifted a large percentage of employees to QA? I know the base structure is a mess since people are playing a single player game on a multiplayer shell, but if they shifted everything over to QA for a good period of time, would you be more willing to throw all the simoleons at the Sims 4 requires you to have every little pack?

Third option: Throw Sims 4 into the fire and wait for Sims 5.

Moderators, can we please have this question as a poll? I feel this is a big question which needs exact numbers... Just a thought.

I think the real poll question should be Which headline would have been better for the brand: Sims 4 Expansion Delayed or Sims 4 Patch Introduces Incest... because guess which one we've got right now?

Or... the poll is like my latest one. Very general. Deal with specifics later.

I'm not a community, so I can't answer for everyone else, but I as a player have already given up new content for an extended period of time. It would be nice to eventually get something substantial in return for that patience, but at this point I'm not very hopeful. But that's ok, I guess. I do have other games to play.
  • If they fix things, please fix Batuu so it is not some pathetic vacation spot? It desperately needs a face-lift... and a nose job, a new look, new plastic surgery... I can't even gamble at the cantina for whatever reason, and it feels more like a childish spy game where you shouldn't get caught. I thought Sims 4 was rated M?
  • I'm done buying as well... Now, the next poll they could do is see how many buyers they have. Then post the last poll asking how to fix things.

Heck- please, no multi-player stuff... I will not buy.

Same. When I want to play MMOs, I play MMOs. When I want to get away from people, I play Sims (Or Crusader Kings 3..which is just sims with war. :D )

    Agreed. I don't want a Sims Multiplayer.
  • If EA told me they were going to be releasing only 1 expansion pack a year in exchange for overhauling the base game and making every pack integrated with one another while stepping up their game for QC, I would be fine waiting. Why should I be mad at a company striving to bring me the best gaming experience possible?

People keep saying but others will be bored and complain. The very reason players get board is b.c nothing connects, so you can only play through the pack in 2 weeks and be bored. Imagine if every pack acted like an update to the base game instead of some stand alone feature.

Take spa day and HS, acme matters now, attach spa day and allow a sim to wear a mask to fight acme. The high maintenance sims may freak out from acme and with the new fears system if they also have the snob trait, they can be afraid of acme for they must be perfect. Everything doesn't have to connect, but if they would have focused the game on connecting packs together then traits and features would have created new ways to play. Sims would feel different and game changers could have been making videos about how mixing this trait with that trait triggers these fears and if you couple it with this job... you get what I am saying. Sims would feel different each play though and it would create new content.
  • So you are telling me that EA is so hard up they can't hire extra help and they have to cannibalize their production team? I will tell you a fact if EA reduces the production staff for bug fixing even though they claim it is only temporary it is not. Never have I seen a company that claimed these things have a temporary change. Hire more staff. Slow down production so the people can take more time to test the product thoroughly. And tell upper management who have their heads up their asses demanding "Scotti" do the impossible. (Scotti admitted to us in TNG that he basically lied to the Captain about the time it took so he could actually get it done.)
