Would you give.up clothes/animations for shorter teens?

In a perfect world, we could have both. But id settle for the way sims 2 and 3 did it. Id rather have less clothes than teens you cant tell apart from adults.

Without a second thought. If this were to happen, within a week there would be countless CC for them that we could use. (I rarely use CC, but I would in this occasion).

That'd be so much unnecessary CC breaking shenanigans and clothing glitches and just noooooo thank you.

It's far too late, I think. If this was going to happen, it should have happened before the first pack was released.

Although I would like teens to look more like teens the mess this would cause just wouldn’t be worth it to me. I don’t use CC so I’d like to keep the clothing we have for them currently just for that reason alone. It’s highly unlikely to happen at this point anyway and would cost a lot of money to change. I’d rather they put their budget elsewhere.

I think with technology today they can scale to fit with relative ease, to me the most time consuminh part would be calibrating the new animations and testing. So I'm off the opinion they could do both, but the community would complain if it wasnt a patch (it should be), so that'd be a lot of work for no profit

Depends on what the content/concept looks like, but I don't think I'd let them change the way teens look.
Now if they were to add the life stage of Preteen (13-15 years old)... it would still depend.

I like teen-elder being able to dress the same because I’m lazy, and also it’s an easy way to show which teen takes themselves way too seriously, or which elder is not aging gracefully.

Going back to the previous games and seeing so many adult hairstyles and clothes that weren't available for teens, I'm actually fine with them sharing CAS assets. It also saves me the trouble of entirely redoing their outfits when they age into young adults

This should have been done considerably earlier in the game. The jump from child-teen is huge, and therefore the jump from teen-young adult is barely noticeable. I would have definitely enjoyed a teen stage that looked more like a teen stage, including a shorter skeleton.

Changing this now would be far too annoying, they should've implemented this in early on in the game and just slightly adjusted all new clothing and hairs so there's a teen version and YA-Elder version.
