Would you invest in a better PC for a next gen sims game?

Yes I would rather have to upgrade because of new tech and improved rendering instead of having to upgrade to bruteforce through an unoptimized game like the sims 3 or 4. The peeps unwilling to invest in a good pc should be left in the dust tbh, gaming is an expensive hobby and the world is unfair, deal with it.
Why should the sims be left in the year 2000 just because people refuse to learn about computers and adapt to new times?
