This is actually a pretty good idea, IF they were to include religion in the game at all. Personally, I don't want it in there, though.
If they put in a real religion, then every religion that was left out would scream it was racist/ethnocentric/whatevercentric. If they put in a made-up Sims religion (such as a llama-worshipping cult), then it would just be goofy and annoying.
I have to admit that one of my characters I like to play in Sims 3 is an evil priest who lives in a church and has an underground dungeon. I used custom content to get the priest outfit. It would be *nice* if I could have Sims attending church services for real just to do this storyline, but I'm OK without a real congregation.
