@So_money Toddlers can walk....that's where the term "toddler" comes from. Therefore, the stage where all the kid can do is crawl is part of the baby lifestage. That's why so many people request it. Right now, the game just skips that phase of development entirely, so I think it's natural for simmers who LIKE raising children to want more added to the baby stage to account for the pre-toddler development that occurs IRL.
I do agree with you that screaming poop-machines aren't particularly interesting. But then, that fact itself is a good argument in favor of adding more to the lifestage to include the development that occurs between "newborn" and "toddler". It's such a short period of time though (IRL, some babies actually skip the crawling entirely and go straight to walking) I don't see it as all that important so mostly I agree with you.
