I agree! I would prefer any items/features that are patched into the game to be entirely new for everyone. I can think of so many things I would rather have added to the base game than hot tubs e.g. free babies, cars, L shaped stairs, a fear emotion, better personalities, police/burglar/firefighter NPCs, playable NPC careers etc.
