- evilyn_374 years agoRising AdventurerI'm only missing JTB and while I don't want to buy it. I wouldn't mind playing it in a pack trial.
But even if I had all the packs, I'm glad that people get to try them out. - Chicklet453684 years agoRising TravelerI currently have all of the packs (with the exception of JtB, which I have no desire to buy or try) ... but if they ever release a pack I'm on the fence about and they offer a free trial to test it out for my particular gameplay, then I would definitely be happy about that.
Plus, I think it's great for players who don't buy everything on release to try and see if they like it. So yeah, bring on more trials! It's also fun to read what the "trial-ers" think about it. - SheriSim4 years agoSeasoned HotshotI have all the packs and kits, I don’t use mods or CC so having new variety often keeps me more interested. I think offering free trials is a great marketing strategy and great for players to see if they like a pack before buying it.

BESTIEEE!! I know I've said this to you before (I think), but I GOT THE GAME FOR FREE TOOOOO!!- 83bienchen4 years agoSeasoned NoviceI have all the packs I'm interested in and while I don't mind pack trials and see them as a way to advertise without much effort, so one cannot really be against them, I wouldn't go as far as to say I love them.
I'm pretty much indifferent, bt leaning to be against trials, because I'm afraid EA might count them as content. If the start to think, oh well, we will do one pack/base game patch less a year because we can earn the same amount of money by setting an older pack on trial, that is where I'd be against them. They will obviously not state they do such a thing but as a profit based company, the idea doesn't seem far fetched. - Cangwen19904 years agoSeasoned NoviceI would say I'm ambivalent on the issue. I don't really want them, but I'm not really opposed to Maxis adding them either.
- MayaRose11384 years agoRising TravelerI don’t one how to post my vote but I want more pack trials. I’ve only been playing for about a year so I don’t have all the packs yet and when I do buy them, I’m getting them in bundles to save money. After the City Living one, I liked it enough to get it in my next bundle. I wasn’t as impressed with Eco Living but it was harder to try out all the features in a short trial. I think they should open it up to game packs as well because there are some like Strangerville which people might like to try first.
- Sharooonia4 years agoNew SpectatorI have all the packs I want so the trials are not useful to me but I don't see any reason why other people can't benefit from them.
- A new pack trial for Get Famous will be available on October 28! The thread can be found here: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/994885/get-famous-free-trial-october-28/p1?new=1
- Goth5834 years agoNew TravelerI don't see the purpose of the trials. It feels like they know they messed up and it is a desperate cry to make people try something that's not 100% complete. I will stick to my CC and mods to enhance my gameplay. I bought Country Living solely for the theme thinking they finally got a clue, but no.
If it was a trial available to a select amount of people who are NOT Gamechangers and they could play BEFORE the release, then I think that would be far more beneficial.
